Riding the wind with immense sparkling light
Thou powerful spirits fearlessly bright
Take me away from the cold battle field
This dark cruel net death has built!
Oh mighty three reflected in my eyes
As my whole scattered decayed body cries!
No more tears will I hear when I’m in Hell
When you free me from my mortal shell.
My bones, my blood, my heart I cannot feel
I’m a living thing and still I’m not real…
For your bold horses in my dreams I seek
For their glorious comforting lap I weep.
Come quickly, led me to a life of honour
Where no other spirit will be stronger:
I’ll sing the songs thou will teach me, I’ll hail.
Shame upon me if I should ever fail!
